Our intuition is our deep sense of knowing. It’s the voice in our head that we can trust, the flutter in our gut that know’s what’s right, the goosebumps on our arms when we’ve connected to something that ignites our path.
Our instinct is the raw reaction, the impulse to do the thing that speaks to us in a way that doesn’t require rationalization.
When we tune into our intuitive and instinctual wisdom, we flow with our purpose. We each have the gift of intuition and when we follow our path, and attune to what we most need, we can be sure we’ll discover what we really want, and what we’re here to offer.
If it feels hard to trust your intuition, you might be disconnected from yourself. Either because you fear others’ judgment, or there are old wounds that you haven’t confronted and healed from, or a sense of unworthiness prevents you from fully honoring yourself.
How to Trust Your Intuition and Follow Your Instincts:
- Ask yourself, “Am I coming from love or fear?” If it’s love, go with it. If it’s fear, reconsider.
- Intuition always comes from the heart. If you’re inclined to do or say something that isn’t heart-based, you can be sure it’s not your intuition.
- In that case, take a break, get support, settle down and then reorient.
- Meditate: This gives you the chance to explore your inner world. It always provides the chance for stillness and that can help you see more clearly the things happening in your mind. You need to get to know yourself in order to determine what’s what. The more curious you become towards your mind, the more able you are to trust the voice that’s pure. You get better and better at elevating your awareness of your thoughts that are helpful, kind, and true.
- Get to know your body: emotions live in our bodies. Becoming connected to bodily-based sensations helps confirm intuition and instinct, and distinguish it from fear or raw reactivity. There’s nuance to experience, and exploring your own intricacies is a wonderful, exciting process!
- Daily affirmations: Affirm often for yourself who you are, what that entails, and what you want out of life. Stay inspired! This will help you deepen your self-trust and connect more fully to your own internal compass. Try on: “I am a divine woman and I trust my intuition” or “I am full of love, and I trust myself to do what’s in my highest good.” or “I always speak my truth from the heart.”
Your inner knowing is your deep sense of what you need. It’s a guide to where you’re being called, who you should be talking to, when, why, and how.
It’s the part of you that you can trust wholeheartedly because it wants what’s in your highest good and what’s in the highest good for others too.
Let your intuition guide the way! It will only ever lead you down the right path. Enjoy the journey.
